UNDER THE MANGO TREE

For decades a horrific war lead by Joseph Kony waged in Uganda, Africa. Tens of thousands of children were abducted from their homes and forced to commit unthinkable acts against their own communities and loved ones. This short documentary follows two ex-child soldiers, both women, who escaped from the war and are now being helped by the non-governmental organization, Grassroots Reconciliation Group (GRG). GRG works to reintegrate the ex-child soldiers back into the community by having them form groups with fellow community members and learn to support and work alongside each other.
